Like other UMass campuses and other universities in Massachusetts, UMass Dartmouth promotes the propaganda about Israel as “start-up nation,” and allies with Israeli state institutions. UMass Dartmouth lists, for example, a grant funded by the “Israel Binational Science Foundation” on the university’s “Start-up Research Grant Program.” As described on the university’s website, the grant is meant for projects that “have a strong element of cooperation between Israeli and American scientists.”
UMass Dartmouth also hosts official Israeli state propagandists: on March 29, 2011, the university hosted General Consul of Israel to New England (Bazak) to talk “about Israel’s role in the Middle East.”
