Cisco

Cisco provides surveillance and population control technologies to the state of Israel while also building facilities on colonized Palestinian land. As WhoProfits reports

Through its fully owned Israeli subsidiary, Cisco – Israel, Cisco Systems has a diverse portfolio of complicity with Israel’s decades’ long occupation. Cisco is involved in setting up technological hubs on occupied land, expanding visual surveillance in Jerusalem and delivering IT services to the Israeli military. Furthermore, it contributes to the structural dependency of the Palestinian economy to that of Israel through a process of outsourcing managed by its Israeli subsidiary.

Cisco used to have its Massachusetts headquarters in Boxborough, MA. According to Worcester Business Journal, Cisco obtained the 350 acres of land on which it built this Worcester campus for $1 in 2002, and then Cisco sold the property to the real estate firm Campanelli and Trigate for $10.1 million in 2021. Cisco also runs courses for high school and college-age students through its "Cisco Networking Academy." According to a company statement, 69 organizations in Massachusetts have participated in the Cisco Networking Academy.
