Yachad New England is the regional branch of Yachad, a national organization for Jewish individuals with disabilities and their families. Yachad encourages the individuals it engages to attend a variant of “Birthright Israel” called “Israel Free Spirit,” which is specifically targeted toward individuals with disabilities. Per Israel Free Spirit’s website, "This journey offers a fabulous tour to Israel for young adults with disabilities. Through its dedicated and experienced staff and tour guides, great activities, and state-of-the-art specialized bus, the trip is designed for participants to have a comfortable and incredible journey." Yachad maintains partnerships with local Zionist organizations, including Combined Jewish Philanthropies, the Ruderman Family Foundation, and JewishBoston.
Yachad New England, which promotes a variant of Taglit Birthright propaganda trips to Israel specifically targeted to individuals with disabilities, lists Combined Jewish Philanthropies as one of its three partners. New England Yachad received $22,500 from CJP in fiscal year 2020 alone.
Fidelity Charitable funneled funds into Yachad in fiscal year 2019, according to Fidelity Charitable's 990 form from that year.
Based on available tax filings, the Joseph and Rae Gann Charitable Foundation has donated at least $2,700 to New England Yachad.
Yachad New England (which encourages individuals it engages to attend a variant of “Birthright Israel” targeted toward people with disabilities) lists the Ruderman Family Foundation as one of its three partners. The Ruderman Family Foundation donated $562,593 to Yachad New England from FY13-FY19.
Tufts University hosted Yachad New England to present to Tufts students at the University's 2019 general career fair.
