MassArt

Massachusetts College of Art and Design, or MassArt, is a public arts college located in Boston MA.

MassArt provides its students with semester abroad and exchange programs in Israel. MassArt course offerings include LASS304 Arab-Israeli Conflict which, true to its name, misrepresents events on the ground in Palestine as a "conflict" requiring "peace negotiations, conflict mediation, compromise, and solutions," whitewashing over the reality of Israeli ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homeland, met by Palestinian resistance.

Like other area universities, MassArt attracts student and faculty populations who are, on average, considerably wealthier and whiter than preexisting Boston area communities. In doing, MassArt bears responsibility for the ongoing rise in housing, rental, and living costs in the Boston area (see figure below), which is displacing working class community members, disproportionately Black and Brown, from the neighborhoods they have called home for years if not decades.
